On June 13, Song Hailiang, Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), met with Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent. (ChinaPower) The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the implementation of the important consensus reached between the heads of the two countries and the continuous deepening of cooperation in investment and construction in the field of energy and power infrastructure. On June 14, the China Xinjiang Bortala - Kazakhstan Entrepreneurial Trade Fair was held in Bortala City and 150 guests from Kazakhstan and China gathered to jointly plan and promote economic and trade cooperation between Bortala and Kazakhstan with the aim of deep integration of these joint efforts into the Belt and Road Initiative. (Xinhua) During the event, Bortala City, Alashankou City, Jinghe County, and Wenquan County carried out investment promotion fairs. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade’s branch in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and the China-Kazakhstan Trade Promotion Association signed a memorandum of cooperation. A total of 119 Chinese and Kazakh enterprises attended the event, with 45 of them engaging in collaborative projects in areas such as mineral products, forestry products, and agricultural by-products.
