This past week, Chinese mass media reported on the 5th China - Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Forum held at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE), and a lecture delivered at the Kyrgyz National University by China’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.

On November 12, the 5th China-Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Online Forum was held at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) (China Daily). The theme of the forum was “China-Kazakhstan economic and social cooperation: To crack the poverty code and promote common progress between China and Kazakhstan”. The forum was conducted in a hybrid offline and online format and the main venue was the Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics.
On November 15, 2022, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen was invited to the Kyrgyz National University to give a lecture on “New Journey of China's Development and New Opportunities for China - Kyrgyzstan Relations” for the faculty and students of the university. President of KNU Abdullahmanov and more than 300 faculty members and students attended the lecture. (MFA China) During the lecture, Ambassador Du elaborated on the significance and far-reaching impacts of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, described China's achievements in detail, offered some data to explain and illustrate China’s path to modernization, and stressed that China has always adhered to the foreign policy of maintaining world peace and promoting common development. Ambassador Du also gave a comprehensive introduction to the development results of China - Kyrgyzstan relations, noting that China has embarked on a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-around way, and the cooperation between the two countries will usher in more new opportunities. The Ambassador encouraged young students in Kyrgyzstan to strive to become successors to the cause of China - Kyrgyzstan friendship and contribute to the shared future between China and Kyrgyzstan.
